Who we are
Michelle Mrdeza is the Founder of LaRosa Garden Designs and recently returned to Charlottesville, VA after a 40-year hiatus in Northern Virginia. She received a Master’s of Sustainable Landscape Design from George Washington University, is a Tree Steward and is active in Piedmont Master Gardeners. Her work has been recognized by the Alexandria, VA Beautification Commission, receiving two Beautification Awards for her Vassar Road landscape design.
As a sustainable landscape designer, Michelle’s focus is creating landscapes that support healthy habitats for both the homeowner and our native fauna and flora. Using the principles of conservation landscaping developed by the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council, Michelle brings landscapes to life in a way that meets the homeowner’s vision of function and beauty and supports our local ecosystems.
Michelle is passionate about preserving, protecting, and restoring our native habitats — one garden at a time. She actively teaches courses on creating habitat friendly landscapes that both support our ecosystems and are enjoyed by homeowners.She looks forward to sharing this passion with you.
